I’ve been a big fan of Texas Hold’em for many years, so when a friend of mine introduced me to Omaha, I was skeptical that it would be as fun or engaging as Texas Hold’em. Of course, I was wrong. Playing Omaha after playing No Limit Hold’em for a long time wasn’t as much of a leap as I thought it would be, and the learning curve wasn’t that drastic. Omaha is starting to become more and more popular as a poker variant to play online, with good reason! The Omaha games (check out my intro to Omaha poker if you want a good place to get started) have those two extra hole cards, which means there’s a lot more action in Omaha games.
I wanted to put together a solid list of the best poker sites to play Omaha on (lots of sites have little to no Omaha games going), so I took a look at each of the sites, and checked out which sites offered the most variations of Omaha (Hi-Lo, Hi-Lo Split 8 or Better, Pot-Limit Omaha, etc) and then cross-checked the sites with the most variety, to the ones with the most tables and players. Then I played multiple games at each of the sites to determine which ones seemed to be the best. The list below shows the three best sites to play Omaha poker on, so go ahead and download the software so you can get started playing Omaha today!
