BetOnline is a full service gaming site. They started out as a sports book then added casino, poker and horse racing to offer a full selection of betting options under one brand. The site has in the past had some issues with bonuses and payouts, but now that it is under new management, those issues seem to be a thing of the past.

The site has good solid poker software and has enough players to offer cash games and tournaments running around the clock. As the site mainly caters to sports bettors, the poker room is full of them so the games can be quite soft when sports activity is high. The minimum $50 deposit is a bit high, compared to other rooms.

How To Claim Your BetOnline Sign Up Bonus

BetOnline caters to sports bettors so when you create a poker account, you need to take a few extra steps to claim your poker bonus. Poker bonuses are applied manually so you will have to wait up to a few days after joining for your bonus to show up in your account.

Follow these exact steps to get your poker bonus at BetOnline:

  1. Go to BetOnline by following this link
  2. Sign up for an account, and click on the verify link in your welcome email
  3. Visit the cashier and make a deposit of $50 or more (do NOT enter in a promo code)
  4. Email freeplay@betonline.ag with “POKERNEW” in the subject line from the email account you signed up with.

You will be sent a confirmation email they’ve received your request and this can take up to 48hrs to be processed. In addition to this you will not be able to play in any new depositor freerolls right away. These extra steps are a bit old school and bit of a pain but worth it to get the 200% bonus.

Once your bonus has been approved, you will receive a final confirmation email and the bonuses will show up in the My Bonuses > Pending Bonuses area of the poker client.

BetOnline Poker Software

BetOnline’s software is simple and easy to use. They offer a “no frills” style of poker software where there are not a lot of customizations available. This keeps the software uncluttered and streamlined. Table graphics can be customized with 3 different backgrounds.

Access to everything BetOnline has to offer (poker, sports, casino and horseracing) is available from within the poker lobby which is convenient. So if you want to bet on sports or play casino games, they are just a click away. New cash deposits at BetOnline go straight into the sports wallet, so new poker players need to transfer money to their poker wallet to play with real money.

A couple of downsides to the software are that the login screen will not remember your BetOnline username without also remembering your password. This may seem like a picky detail but because BetOnline uses generated usernames, you’ll have to remember the name assigned to you in order to login. I strongly advise against saving passwords in any poker software for security reasons so players need to enter their username every time they want to play . The other downside is that next to cash game tables, BetOnline has a blackjack table attached directly to the poker table. If you don’t want to play blackjack or be tempted by it, this is a total waste of space that you will need to deal with when playing cash games. The blackjack table is not present during tournaments.

BetOnline Promotions

BetOnline offers a few different poker promos to take advantage of. The first is their 200% new player deposit bonus. This bonus is available for all new players who make a deposit, see above on how to claim this. On top of this they all so run freerolls for new deposits. To qualify for these you just need to make a deposit.
The next promotions are geared towards existing players. They run Leaderboard Challenges where the top 200 players win cash prizes. They also run a good selection of guaranteed tournaments each month.

Poker Support

BetOnline support is very good . Phone and email support are available 24/7 and their reps are friendly and knowledgeable about poker. They have customer service agents available to walk you through the process of setting up your account and making your first deposit. It can take up to 48 hrs to answer support emails for poker.

I hate the blackjack screen, for this and lack options to remove blackjack I no longer play poker at betonline.ag, sportsbetting.ag or their affiliates. I still gamble on sports but I find it disgraceful and unbecoming.

Agreed. It’s not a deal breaker for me, but it would be really nice if they had an option to remove it.

Actually, I just found this: http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/showpost.php?p=46590719&postcount=1100

When you open more than 4 tables, an option to hide blackjack comes up.

This blackjack table attached to the poker tables makes it nearly impossible to multi-table poker play! It really sucks!!

I would not list Bet Online if I thought, or there was any proof, that the games are in any way fixed.

The blackjack screen really sucks! But it’s not a huge deal for me since I don’t usually play more than two tables at once anyway. Any serious multi-tabling without dual monitors wouldn’t work out. The fish however and in abundance. In the mircos, the games are easier than at the casino which is rare for online.
